You plug it in, set your car radio to the prescribed channel and then you can play your phone through the radio speaker for calls, music, audio etc. The assistant asked us what functions we wanted the new radio to have that the current one didn't, and he introduced us to this brilliant little gadget. We went to Halfords looking for a new radio, but after a check with an excellent assistant (so sorry I didn't get your name) we found out our car's radio portal was not a fit for any of the new ones. Audio quality is good as long as connected to a station that is not commonly used.
